Lochmueller Group (Lochgroup) provided design for bridge replacements over two small stream crossings. Both structures were built near private entrances or crossroads and required minor reconstruction of the intersections. Special attention was paid when placing the guardrails and bridge ends to ensure good visibility from the end of the structures.

The West Kirsch Road over Mill Creek Replacement Structure is a single-span (55’-5”) bridge with a 27-inch-deep precast prestressed deck beam bridge with a 3-inch asphalt overlay and waterproofing membrane system. The bridge’s superstructure is supported on integral abutments. The total length of the structure is 58 feet back-to-back of abutments and the clear roadway width is 30 feet.

The BlackJack Road over North Fork Mill Creek Replacement Structure is a single-span (60’) bridge with a 27-inch-deep, precast, prestressed, deck beam with a 3-inch asphalt overlay and waterproofing membrane system. The bridge’s superstructure is supported on integral abutments. The total length of the structure is 63 feet back-to-back of abutments and the clear roadway width is 30 feet.
