St. Louis Metro Station Project Wins Tiger Grant

September 19, 2014

MetroLink, St. Louis’ train system, won a $10.3 million Tiger grant to help build a new station in the Center of Research, Technology, and Entrepreneurial Exchange (Cortex), a 240-acre ‘innovation hub’ the city is using to lure high-tech companies and professionals. Citizens for Modern Transit and Metro commissioned Lochgroup to lead a Feasibility Study for the station which included conceptual design, ridership forecasts, and cost estimates that confirmed the viability to the project. Lochgroup along with Cortex and Development Strategies prepared the successful Tiger application. The station now takes a major step forward as the projected $12.9 million capital cost has been secured by the grant. Congrats to the St. Louis office for its pivotal work on this project!
