Lochmueller Group is excited to announce the advancement of Susan Al-Abbas, PE to the role of Indiana Regional Director. With 35 years of industry experience, Susan has proven herself as an industry leader and advocate for our firm. In just six short years with Lochmueller, she has been significantly responsible for the growth of our team. What started as a single South Bend office representing northern Indiana, she has helped to establish growth in Fort Wayne and the impending offices in Valparaiso and Mishawaka. Her contributions have been pivotal in improving Lochmueller’s performance, profitability, and reputation with continuous work to improve operational organization and growth in all facets.
Throughout Susan’s career she has served on numerous committees, advisory boards and currently serves on Lochmueller’s Board of Directors. To her credit she notably holds the title of first female appointed county engineer in the State of Indiana, demonstrating her talent and dedication to civil engineering and serves as an encouraging example to women pursuing degrees in a heavily male-dominated industry.
In her new role as Regional Director of Indiana, Susan supports four Indiana Regional Leaders as they manage their offices, coordinate statewide activities related to sales, organize pursuits, and maximize operations.
