With the completion of the Downtown Area Water Distribution Study, our team was very familiar with the project area and the stakeholders. During the study, we identified pressure and leak issues along 2nd Street and this project was subsequently moved up on the City’s priority list to address.
Lochmueller provided the design for the replacement of the water main along 2nd Street. This minimized the maintenance costs associated with the high incidence of main breaks experienced along the previous water main. It has improved service to the hospital and downtown business district with additional system redundancy.
